The Story of Painted Turtle Photography
Painted Turtle Photography evolved from my love of art and photography, as well as my passion for my children, for nature, and for animals. I really love creating photographs with an almost painting-like feel.
As my children get older, the pictures I cherish the most are the ones in which they are engaged and connected, not necessarily the ones where they are looking at the camera.
I believe that everyone has a beauty we should preserve, at every stage of life and health. I look forward to connecting with you!
My Approach
My goal is to create photographs you will hang on the wall and cherish for years. I want us to focus less on the poses and more on the authentic connections that naturally happen, the moments between moments.
When we connect for a session, we will take a walk together and I will observe. I will gently guide you through activities to help catch those moments and keep your children engaged. I will take my time with you so we can really get to feeling comfortable. That's when the most magical moments take place!
Meet the Photographer
A teacher, mother, wife and photographer, I am passionate about learning and about relationships. Photography has always been a love of mine and I am so excited to now have had this dream become a reality. I love being outdoors and the calm it brings. I believe firmly in the power of attachment and am proud to be raising two feminist boys alongside my wonderful husband.
